Data Protection

The Law relating to Data Protection has been changing over a transitional period,

and from 25th May 2018 the changes become "fully live".

As with all other Clubs and Organisations, the Fakenham Auto Club must comply with these

regulations, and we have been working hard in the background to ensure that we do. In early May, members will have received a postal form

to complete and return to the Membership Secretary.

Return of this form will enable FaC to continue emailing details of Club activities.......no returned form = no more email contact !

The following is our Policy Statement in accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).

Membership Data Protection & Privacy Policy

The Fakenham Auto Club (FaC) holds a certain amount of Data relating to each FaC Member. This Data

will typically comprise: Name, Address, Telephone number(s) and e-mail address(es).

It is necessary for this Member Data to be held in order that Members can be contacted about Club activities.

The Data is not used for any other purpose.

FaC does not pass Member Data to any third party.

The Data is held securely, and it is accessed only by FaC Committee Members for Club approved purposes.

By contacting the Membership Secretary in writing, any Member can check the Data held that relates to themself. Using this contact

process, any Member can instruct FaC to amend or to delete their Data at any time.

Upon termination of Membership, the Data relating to that former Member will be automatically deleted from FaC records.

The Committee is hard at work arranging Events for the coming year, and as ever will welcome

ideas from Members on what to put into the programme.

If anyone wants to volunteer to help with arrangements  -  please don't be shy in coming forward !!
